Manuscript Guidelines
Newport Bay publishes a small number of books each year and will consider manuscripts in the following subject areas: biography, world governance, alternative economics, alternative health and medicine, home and garden, media/journalism, Native peoples, nature/environment, philosophy, social sciences, and women/feminism. Non-fiction and fiction.
Newport Bay Publishing will not consider manuscripts in the following subject areas: anthologies, business, children/youth, computers, essays of criticism, drama/theatre/dance, education, film/video, hobbies, humour, law/crime/police, local history, music, military history, personal finance, science/technology, science fiction and sports.
Authors should send a letter or e-mail of about 300 words to Newport Bay, describing the scope of the manuscript, and attach a representative sample (600-1200 words) of the writing. In the case of surface mail, send copies (not originals).
